In 1913-14, adventure and documentary films were shot in the then-German colony of Togo that are still largely unknown today. Jürgen Ellinghaus travelled to the original film locations with a mobile cinema to explore the historical background of the film images and the effects of colonialism to this day together with the Togolese audience.
