Voiced by award-winning Australian actor Matilda Ridgway, Memorabilia draws on the Powerhouse Museum’s incredible collection of space ephemera to create an evocative hybrid documentary that blends fact and fiction. Combining fascinating archives with dramatic performances, the film interrogates how and why flown space memorabilia comes to be collected and stored for posterity and why these objects exert such a strong pull on the human imagination. Memorabilia was imagined and created during co-directors Ceridwen Dovey and Rowena Potts’ tenure as Powerhouse Research Fellows in 2022.
