Hanina/Homesick

A young Nubian girl journeys back through time to reconnect with her lost homeland. Guided by a graceful Nile egret, she dives beneath the waters of the vast lake formed by Egypt’s Aswan High Dam. There, she wanders through submerged mountains, palm groves, water wheels, and the homes of her people. She witnesses the poignant farewell as families board boats bound for distant resettlement villages. Returning to her own time, she carries the enduring memory of Nubia — a homeland that lives on within her.
