Fighting Blind
This film is designed for blind audiences, and it uses poetic audio description as a primary mode of narration.
Fighting Blind follows the day in the life of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu martial artist and family man Angel Adorno. Angel shares the victories and challenges of being blind in a sighted world, on and off the mat. This film explores Angel’s resilience in overcoming a difficult past as he learns to trust himself and others, while also inviting new ways of thinking about documentary production and screening to be more inclusive of alternative modes of spectatorship.
This film is part of Student Films - Negotiating Differences.
